Review: I received this book free from goodreads first reads. This was the first book that I ever won from goodreads but it has taken me forever to get to it :(
I love this cover! It's so whimsical and fits this fantasy story perfectly. Second Stone is book two in The Soul of the Stones series by Kelly Walker that I have been able to read and review. I'm not gonna lie, I liked this instalment way better than the first. I feel like this book flowed better, there was way more action and the best part, I wasn't confused at all lol. My questions were answered and that made the book much more interesting,
I felt like the characters really came into their own in Second Stone. You really find out who the characters are and what they believe in. I enjoyed learning about a variety of the characters and also getting the different POV's. Riya was a way more awesome character this time around. She was brave and stood her ground. I loved all the characters.
Overall this was a great read. It pulled the great parts from book one and elaborated on them. Now I am invested in the series and can't wait to continue. I would recommend this read to fantasy lovers.
