Blog Tour: Review The Alaska Trilogy Book 1 & 2- Tiffany Carmouche

Book Description:
“Alaska? Who goes to Alaska?” Escaping an abusive ex boyfriend, Nicole, a struggling young single-mother, convinces her best friend to travel to a place she knows little about, in search of better life.

Nicole is scared of getting hurt again, but Dylan’s chiseled body and chocolate brown eyes captivate her. And soon she finds herself in the arms of the sexy lead singer. In Alaska, she discovers the power of friendship and true love and begins to let down her guard.  But is her security a facade?

Soon Nicole’s innocent beauty taunts a sinister man, and she is caught in a web of deception and danger. She realizes someone she trusts has been stalking her. Petrified, she wonders, how can she escape? Miles of wilderness surround her.
She hears something. Someone is there.

Should she cry for help or stay silent? Will she be saved or will she be hunted?

Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
At first, I wasn't sure if I would like this book because it's a romance novel, or so I thought. This book is so much more than just a romance novel. It is perfectly written. I was in tears at one point. Throughout the whole story I was on the edge of my seat, yelling (in my head) at the characters. You get a feel for who the villain is, but then they do something to redeem themselves so you think " No, they can't be evil". Then BAMM!! Shit goes down. Your now at the end of the book left with the biggest cliffhanger ever, and know you know that you should have trusted your gut the whole time. Luckily for me, I had book two sitting next in line.
As for the characters, I really liked Nicole because she is a young, single mother who escaped an abusive relationship and  she is trying to give her daughter a great life regardless. At the same time, she pissed me off because if this book was a horror movie, Nicole would be the the one who goes into the haunted house even though there were signs and feelings not to. Dylan is the totally hot band God, who sleeps with every girl in sight. But he really surprised me the most. I really grew to like him, and it wasn't just for his god looks lol. I also really liked Brad, but I would have liked him better if he would have grabbed the bull by the horns right from the beginning instead of letting opportunity slip him by. But maybe by book two he will have grown some balls.
This is an awesome read for any bookworm as long as they are 17+ at least. There are some very graphic scenes. But this book was very well written and is defiantly a page turner. I'm so glad that I gave it a chance and I am starting book two as soon as I finish this review that's how bad of a cliffhanger it was.

Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is the second book in the amazing series by Tiffany Carmouche. This books starts off exactly where book one left off, Thank God. If it's even possible, this book is even more intense than the first. It's such a crazy thrill ride and I never want to get off. It's more gruesome, it's fast- paced and heart pounding. It was such a rush! I actually liked this book better because you got three different POV's and the background for why each character did what they did and their thoughts behind it. Little tidbit of information, you can't trust anyone, everyone has a secret agenda.
Nicole is gain a great lead character. But in this book because of her "handicap" she is a totally different person (laughing so hard at my witty comment). I like her better now because she has nothing holding her back from following her dreams. Dylan is still a great guy, minus a few times of him being a complete ass, but I still love him. Especially since he is willing to do anything to be with the woman he loves. I also liked Brad better in this book. I love that we got his POV because it clears up my issues with him from book one. I still am holding out for him in the last book.
Another amazing book by the awesome author Tiffany Carmouche. She definitely has a knack for writing great books. I can't wait to read more books by her. and Hello??? What was that ending? Predictable but yet a cliffhanger!! I NEED book three NOW!!!

She says she felt almost defeated, but now she is recommitted to savoring experiences both in the novels she writes and in the life she lives each day. And her secret hope is anyone who is struggling will realize there is a light at the end of the tunnel and no matter how hard the fight, no matter how many times you have been knocked down, it is always worth staggering up to your feet and learning to breathe again.
