This is the debut novel by T.M. Franklin and what a debut. This story pulls at you from the beginning by having you easily relate to the main characters college life. Then T.M. Throws a huge curveball about Ava that you definitely weren't expecting, then she does it again. The reader is constantly thrown for a loop which keeps e book pretty interesting. Finally at the end of the book you begin to scratch the surface about this amazing character. I rally enjoyed the hidden world that T.M. Has created and the sci-fi aspects that are incorporated. I also love how the cover ties in nicely to the story.
Ava Michaels is your average college student, living in dorms, needing to be tutored occasionally manifesting magic. Oh wait, that must have just been Ava's mind playing tricks or her right? Wrong! Tis is how the book drew me in. We follow Ava as she tries to figure out what exactly she is and what is best for her. I love how by the end of the book she is such a strong character. Then there is the angel- like Caleb, in other words totally drool worthy. I love how he went against his duty to do what he thought was right even thou the aftermath would be punishment. He wasn't an overbearing character, but more of a support for Ava when dealing with the paranormal.
Definitely a good book to add to anyone's TBR list. It would have been a 5/5 star review but it slowed down a little in the middle and it got me caught up but otherwise great. The ending was absolutely to die for. Now I can't wait to read more and find out what happens with our "friends".

Graduating with a B.A. in Communications specializing in broadcast journalism and production, she worked for nine years as a major market television news producer, and garnered two regional Emmy Awards, before she resigned to be a full-time mom and part-time freelance writer. After writing and unsuccessfully querying a novel that she now admits, “is not that great,” she decided to follow the advice of one of the agents who turned her down—write some more and get better at it. Her first published novel, MORE, was born during National Novel Writing month, a challenge to write a novel in thirty days.
She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Mike, is mom to two boys, Justin and Ryan, and has an enormous black dog named Rocky who’s always lying nearby while she’s writing. Whether he’s soothed by the clicking of the computer keys or just waiting for someone to rub his belly is up for debate.
